When I go to help a friend or relative with “something” what I need to complete the task is in this little box. It’s so rugged (not that you can throw it down stairs) that I haven’t looked for a replacement but now I’m looking for gifts I can’t find them. I guess they sold one to everyone and sales fell off….buy it if you find it! Once it’s stocked with all the normal stuff this is all you need to grab (along with a Ryobi cordless tool set) to complete the home task.

It has two wings that fold out one with medium and small divisions suitable for parts and small attachments. The other has larger compartments one of which is L shaped and large enough for a mid sized hammer or similar. It also has 2 compartments in the center that are a little less than 1/2 the width and then 4 more full width compartments with dividers. The dividers are removable so if you have some long skinny stuff–like a small soldering iron–these are good. Their one drawback is that you have to swing out both wings to access them.
If you are expecting a general purpose tool case this isn’t it. But if you want some small tool storage and room for lots of parts and accessories this could be just the thing.
BTW the compartments are fixed in size and as they are transparent there is no viable way to label most of them without obscuring the contents.

Otherwise the lid bows slightly and that whole half of the toolbox won’t clasp completely. I wish they would have built in a little more clearance.
If you have a lot of objects that aren’t too wide/tall, then it’s a good box.

I need to get more! Rating:5 out of 5 stars I bought this for my husband’s birthday — he was impressed with the ‘organizer’ and is now trying to figure out which set of tools and doodads he wants to put into it. I’m going to buy him at least one more so he’ll have one for his sheet rocking tools and hardware, and the other for the electrical. Later in the year I’ll buy him two more for his plumbing tools/supplies and for the miscellaneous stuff.
These ‘organizers’ seem to be well-made and they’re reasonably priced for their size and capabilities. I think I’ll eventually get one for myself, too … for my sewing machine supplies.
I also want to mention that the first one came improperly packaged and terribly damaged, but we got a replacement by the *next day!* Plus, he loved the gift wrapping … which is not something he usually notices.

One has all my electrical small parts and the other has 1/2″ and 3/4″ copper fittings. I looked for a long time to try to find organizers that would work for these items and these are real good. Adjustable dividers allow for customizing. The one I have copper fittings in feels like its a little over its carrying capacity but has yet to give me any signs of failure.
It seems a little odd that these are sold as “tool organizers” – I’m not sure what sort of tools you’d organize in bins like these – but they are great for small parts. I’m getting a third one – highly recommended.
