Just What The Doctor Ordered! Rating:5 out of 5 stars I needed a new tool case and this one fit the bill. The three trays work out great as tool storage and the top drawer, by using the dividers, allows you to set it up for a large number of screws, nuts, etc. The top area works out well for placing tools or, in my case, my cleaners and such. Overall a really handy tools storage case!
Special feature is very deep drawers Rating:5 out of 5 stars This unit has several attractive features. First, it is all plastic. Many similar tool boxes with this kind of storage are metal. Second, it’s storage spaces are unusually deep. The top tray can accommodate items up to 5″ tall, such as a DLSR camera.
The two lower boxes can handle items up to 2.5″ tall and 13.5″ long. One box is open inside, with an area of 13.5″ x 7.75″. The other is broken into three longitudinal sections by plastic dividers. Each of the sections is 2.5″ wide. These plastic dividers are fixed in place. Neither box has any adjustable dividers (which seems odd).
With it’s deep drawers, I can store telescope eyepieces in their original boxes (which are 2.5″ tall). I also like having a top lid that opens to reveal a cavity large enough for both a camera, small tripod, and accessory cables.
I looked pretty hard around my area and nobody stocked this model box. Dick’s Sporting Goods had some Plano boxes, but all were smaller… like for fishing tackle.
Perfect for my needs Rating:5 out of 5 stars I do computer service and support and need to carry a lot of small tools and parts. I added a tool palate to the inside of the cover. This lets me see most of my tools at a glance (easy to locate and to inventory) and the compartments let me carry the assortment of small parts that I need. I rejected a lot of tool boxes before finding this one. Cost wasn’t a major consideration. I needed the right box and this is it for me. The fact that it is not expensive is a bonus.
