Be careful about pressure on plastic hooks as they are tather brittle. Pan head screws and instruction booklet would have been nice as they say lifetime warranty if installed to their specs. The best thing about this product is that they have it at Sam’s Wholesale Club for 29.98 It can be a good product if careful with it as it does get lots of junk out of the way

    Very nice garage storage kit
    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
This kit looks nice and was easy to install. The only problem was that the holes in the brackets were not quite 16 inches apart. This is the reason I gave it 4 stars. I had to put the screws in at a small angle to make sure they were into the studs enough. That was only a minor problem and the brackets are now up and feel very sturdy. I have a 6 foot ladder on one of the hooks and it seems to be holding very well. I’m currently holding garden tools, rooms, hand tools, as well as the ladder and it looks very nice and has really helped reduce the clutter. If you are looking for a little garage or shed organization then I highly recommend this kit.

No more wood boards with nails or tacky pegboard now that I have the Ultimate Garage Storage Kit. I love this! The storage solutions were unique and helpful – different types of racks and containers for different items. I especially like how you can put up one piece here and there or combine pieces to customize your wall space. It was easy to put up, and it looks nice in my garage. I will be buying more of these!

Quick and easy to install. Great product
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
We ordered this hoping that it would be a quick and easy to install and use. It was all that and more. My husband was able to install this rack in 15 minutes. He is really impressed with how easy it went up and all of the useful hooks it has. He did drill his own holes for the screws because the wall was corrugated steel so he avoided the problem of the original holes being off 16″ centers. I am sure that would be a problem. I will post a picture if it on the product page. It holds a full size ladder with no problem. This is a great product and a great price too. Finally something useful that is easy to use!

The rails are sturdy and the hooks attach easily. It looks great and doesn’t seem to have flimsy components like some others that I had looked at. I will definitely purchase this again.

Good Quality System – No Documentation
    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
In this day and age almost everything you buy comes with a small book, the majority of which is warnings, precautions, and safety notices, often in three or more languages. While most of that is overkill, it was surprising to find no instruction sheet with this product. I would have preferred one, instead of merely “Simple as 1-2-3″ on the side of the box. The only weight limit precaution is in very small print down by the UPC symbol, on the opposite side from the “instructions.” Is the 300 lb weight limit on the rail based on attaching the rail on studs or on dry wall using the included anchors?

If you think about it before you install the rails, you would figure out you need to attach the middle screw first in the center of the middle stud. That way the rail ends will fall into the center of the studs on either side. You can then place several end-to-end for a neat continuous rail, and each rail will attach to the center of the middle stud. The end attachment holes will be in a bit from there for obvious reasons. My brain wouldn’t have figured that out. If I hadn’t read the reviews here first I would have made the same mistake another reviewer made…installing it from an end first. (Thanks, Greg R)

Having said that, the kit is first quality. It comes with rails, hooks, screws, and plastic anchors…everything you need to install it.

The hooks are sturdy, fit snugly on the rail, and are easy to relocate. They can also be mounted directly to the wall, without the rail. The bike hook is perfect for hanging our little electric snow blower.

The only nit I would pick is I would have preferred pan head screws for the rail. I realize the flat head screws match the mounting holes in the hooks, but pan heads would give the rail installation a neater look.

Over all it is a good system and I highly recommend it. I will be buying more.

The arrival of this unit arrived at the perfect time!! My husband of 40 years passed away in February so I am on my own. This unit was easy to install and is easy to use. The detached garage looked like a war zone with all his tools and “collections” allover, due to my cleaning out the garage. This unit is perfect for all my yard tools, weed whacker, blower, chain saw, hedge trimmers, etc. It really has made a difference in the appearance of the garage. I am delighted withit and would highly recomend.

The installation was easy enough for me. It seems like some folks have had issues with finding studs in a more traditional wall configuration, I can’t really comment on that, I stuck them to a wood door at work. The construction it solid, nice rigged aluminum, light weight to boot. So far everything I’ve hung from them has made good use of the included attachments (various work related instruments) with the exception of the weird one which as far as I can tell is intended for bikes. The basket fixture I also feel could probably benefit from a more rugged mesh, I definitely could see the current one being tore up and rendered more or less useless, especially if used in a garage/shop setting as ‘intended’. The system by which these operate is also very simple, the various attachments simply hang from an upper lip on the rails. This makes changing and moving the configuration extremely easy. All things considered it’s a very straight forward and quality product in my opinion. It may benefit from little changes here and there, and perhaps a slightly more ‘general purpose’ selection of attachments but at the end of the day it does precisely what it indicates quite well.

    Easy-to-install garage storage system
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
Tactix has designed a simple, easy-to-install, sturdy storage system to help you organize your garage, garden shed, or storage space. The 12-piece kit includes the fasttrack bars and screws that you can easily hang on your wall, as well as a variety of utility hooks to hang your bike, hoses, garden tools, shovels, and a hanging basket.

It took me between 30-45 minutes to attach the bars to wood supports in my garden shed. All that was required was a cordless drill. The storage kit is sturdy. I put several shovels and/or rakes on some of the utility hooks, and they handled the weight just fine.

Tactix has created the kit so that you can use just those utility hooks that you need. If you need additional hooks, they can be purchased separately. Each bar accommodates 3-4 hooks, depending on the size of the utensils you’re hanging from them.

I highly recommend the kit for anyone who wants to get their tools and other items off the garage floor and up on the wall, and out of the way. It’s done wonders for our garden shed.

    Hang in there!

These are very well made and nice looking. I decided to split these up – two in the garage and one in the utility room. Since most lawn tools (shovels, rakes, etc) are not individually heavy, they will be no problem. I tried electric line trimmers & hedge trimmers and they were securely held as well.

I placed a shim under the bars in the garage to angle out the bottom and used longer screws. While the provided hooks do have angled tips, some lawn tools can ‘walk’ off such (and they’ll do it while someone is standing under them). I’m not suggesting that this is necessary, but it doesn’t hurt.

I wish the bars had been long enough that the holes were sixteen inches apart. It’s best to mount the center hole first on a stud, then toe-nail the end screws to hit other studs. Don’t mount on drywall unless you hit studs or use anchors (but try to hit at least one stud). It’s too easy to pull down while you pull out on a shovel to get it off the hook.

This was easily installed and the various shaped hooks snap on easily and stay in place when you lift off a tool. These are very convenient.

I have an over sized garage and I keep everything in it’s place. This new Garage Storage Kit by KR Tools sure make organization easy. With its heavy duty aluminum wall mounts and the selective brackets, I can hang my tools and accessories within easy reach.

The price was actually lower than what you make expect because the unit is very well made, as it can handle bicycles and ladders with no bending. Not only is this unit very strong, I like it because of how attractive it looks against my custom cabinetry and tool boxes. Super sharp. Pretty simply, it will hold what you want and add to your custom garage appearance.

Wow. Easy to install and great flexibility
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
My garage “organizers” to date have been fixed hooks, which work fine but really aren’t too flexible. This set-up with the rail system is MUCH better than those.

I’m not all that handy, but this was a snap to install for even me. In the other organizers, once they are screwed into the studs in my wall, it would really be a pain to move them around. With this modular system, it’s very easy. And actually once I got this system up, I ended up moving a few of the ones I’d previously installed to make the garage even more organizes. Putting this system up really cleaned up my clutterly garage.

I haven’t moved the hooks around a lot yet, but it’s very easy to do that when and if I need to.

    Great Organizer
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I hung this kit in my garage this week-end. The install was painless. The kit comes with everything needed to mount it but my garage is all concrete block and I prefer Tapcon concrete screws in there, so I used my own. They didn’t sit flush to the bars like the included screws would but this didn’t cause any problems when putting on the various hooks that come with the kit.

The bars that support the hooks look great and are very light yet sturdy. They sit very flush to the wall and each segment has 6 points for screws to hold it up. I felt very confident that they would hold everything I hung on them without any issues. All I had to do was put them where I wanted them, with a level underneath, and mark the holes with a pencil. Then I drilled holes for my screws, put the bar up and screwed it tight to the wall. It didn’t take any time at all.

I doubt I’ll use the bike hook any time soon. The rest of the hooks are all being used and I think the bag is actually going to be very handy. The hooks have a coating that’s nice, though I’m not using them for anything that needs it. But it’s good to know if one wanted to hang something that could get scratched. I’m not worried about my shovels, rakes or hoses getting scratched.

Not much else to say – this is a good solid product that has really improved the appearance and organization of my garage. I recommend it highly.

    Solid garage organizer
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I’m not sure if I was unlucky and received one without instructions or if they all are just like that. However, there were brief instructions provided on the outside of the box, kind of the “1 2 3″ variety and I was able to put it together based solely on that. Assembly was easy, but I supposed I am old-fashioned and prefer an actual instruction booklet.

Included are three 32-inch metal tracks and 9 hangers. Assuming you have studs every 16 inches, the tracks mount to three studs each; two screws per stud, for a total of six screws per track. The hangers are easily attached and detached from the tracks as needed and adjustable to your changing needs.

There are several kinds of hangers; one is a mesh-type basket, another is supposedly for a bicycle, though I didn’t end up using it for that purpose. The hooks seem heavy duty and easily held whatever tool/equipment I’ve put on them. My father-in-law was even able to hang on to two of the hooks and lift off his feet. I can definitely see why these have a lifetime warranty to them.

I suppose you could drill new holes in the metal to accommodate studs that are not every 16 inches. If your wall does not have studs, in theory you could also mount them to masonry using inserts which are included.

All around, this is a pretty solid product.

Works perfect for light duty applications
    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
Being a disorganized fool I am often looking for easy methods of making the messes in my house a little bit more tidy with a minimum amount of work. This system seemed like a perfect fix for some of the messier more dangerous corners in my laundry room. Now I no longer have to fear getting hit with a broom handle in the face every time I attempt to do my laundry.

Marketed as a garage storage unit I had considered using it for such purposes but upon receiving it I realized it was much too light duty for my heavy tools and garden utensils. While the hook itself is made of heavy duty metal the piece that latches to the back support is constructed of plastic, and while the plastic seems of a stronger material I’m not willing to trust it with the shovels being hung right next to my car (can you say broken windshield anyone?) The assortment of hooks is perfect for long handled tools like brooms and mops so I figured it would work well for my household cleaning supplies that I have previously just shoved in the corner of the room. Easy to install, (I just attached it to the studs since our laundry room isn’t sheet-rocked) it comes with all of the screws you need to mount on the walls. I would recommend if you are going to hang it in between the studs to buy better drywall anchors, the ones included didn’t seem like they would be able to handle the weight of shovels, rakes and garden hoses but I like to make sure that the items I’m attaching to the wall aren’t going to rip out and force me to repair holes in my wall. I’m not using the bike hook for anything as of yet but I have my mop, broom, dustpan and bucket all hanging in a neat line in my basement now. I didn’t know what to do with the basket hook at first but now I just put my fabric softener in it and I don’t have to go searching for it every time I want to use it. Another nice feature is that you get to choose where to hang the hooks so you can customize it for whatever size items you want to hang.

Even though I didn’t use these for their intended use I still think they’re a good product for light duty household applications. Brooms, mops, rakes and other less bulky items store easily on these movable hooks. I’m thinking of buying one for my parents because the basket hook would be perfect for all of the golf balls my father has laying around the house. I wouldn’t expect to hang a heavy weed trimmer, leaf blower, or 100′ garden hose, but for my laundry room it worked really well. Now I no longer have to worry about a concussion when I enter my basement, if I could just find a way to make my washer and dryer do my laundry for me I wouldn’t have to fear that room at all anymore.

We have a two-car garage that replaced what had been a basement in New England when my family and I relocated to Dallas many years ago. My wife is an expert at space management but even so, getting “stuff” out of the way but nearby has proven to be a major challenge. The TACTIX Ultimate Garage Storage Kit (12 pieces) is a Godsend. Stylish, durable, easy to set in place, and a most welcome improvement on stop-gap measures. We can now easily garage at least one of our two cars. I greatly appreciate the opportunity to check out the TACTIX Ultimate Garage Storage Kit. On this Vine, there are indeed tasty grapes.

    Sturdy Organizer System
    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
This is a sturdy system with useful hooks to get your garage/workshop organized. There are no instructions in the box; just a simple 3-picture how-to on the outside of the box. The kit comes with all the screws & drywall screw jackets to mount the rails. Then you just snap on the hooks and you’re good to go. The hooks are heavy steel, covered in thick rubber so items don’t move or get scratched. The rails are sturdy aluminum. It took less than an hour to install everything. You only need a level, drill & screwdriver. Well, really only a screwdriver but I’m picky.

One negative (the reason I give this 4 stars & not 5…) are the drilled holes on the rails. They do not fall 16″ on center. You can attach all the screws to studs but I prefer to be on center.

The hooks are easily moved if you change your mind or get other tools. I’m using the basket for garden twine & gloves. It doesn’t have a sturdy bottom – it’s all mesh so I wouldn’t put sharp items (like garden shears) in it.

    In the box:

    -3 -32″ rails & screws

    -1 basket hook

    -4 multipurpose hooks

    -2 large J hooks

    -1 loop tool hook

    -1 bike hook

Great system but be careful with installation
    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
I purchased two of these 12pc kits + some extra rails and brackets to organize my gardening tools. Below are my pros and cons:

    Pros:

    - Very solid rails and brackets, the system seems very durable.

    - The rails carry the weight of my line trimmer and a bicycle with no flex or bending

    - Tool brackets are easy to install or move (flexible system)

    - The cost was reasonable when compared with other garage organizer systems

    - Rail mounting screws do not interfere with bracket placement

    Cons:

    - The existing screw holes for mounting the rail are NOT on 16″ centers, they were on 15.5″ centers. This means that if you start with the left hole perfectly aligned (middle of the stud) then the rightmost hole will NOT be on the stud at all! This results in a rail that could pull out of the drywall if anything heavy were to be placed on that side. If you start with the middle mounting hole centered on the stud then the left and right holes can connect to the stud if you slightly angle the mounting screws. This results in a very solid rail system. Bottom line: start with the -middle- mounting hole perfectly centered for optimal holding power on your rails.

    - The 48″ rail did not come with mounting screws. The system appeared to have been previously shipped to someone (missing shrink wrap, etc.) so I’m not sure if this is the fault of Amazon or KR Tools. Fortunately every bracket comes with 2 screws that are the same size as the rail screws so I had plenty of extras (brackets do not require screws when mounting on the rails)

This has really helped to organize my garage. I chose this product over others because all the pieces (hooks, rails) came in one kit vs others that I saw which sold the pieces separately. I think I saved money in the end by buying this all-in-one!

I looked at the Rubbermaid version at one of the home centers but decided to try the KR version and was nicely surprised. It was beefy and well designed. The parts fit together well and the rail itself was heavy aluminum which looked good on the wall. Be sure to attach to the studs so it can hold a lot of weight. Now I need more for the other side of the garage!
