The Fatback organizer takes tool carriers to a whole new level. With over 60 pockets (we stopped counting), this bucket carrier brings its own I-can-crush-that-job attitude to the work site. High-density ballistic nylon (1680 Denier) is the foundation for this Extreme product. Heavy-duty nylon and polyester fabric provide extra strength, and PVC reinforcement gives large pockets and major stress points additional strength and durability. Plastic-reinforced pouch rims keep the bags wide open and ready for use. ....read more

I purchased this item as my latest boat tackle box. It is working out great. Good storage and everything is easily assessable. So far it has been durable and resists the elements. The bucket organizer fits any “traditional” 5gal bucket but it does not fit the 5 gal buckets sold at Lowe’s (and probably Home Depot). The lip/bucket diameter is slightly larger around the rim and the height from the top of the bucket down to the handle connector is shorter. These same buckets also cannot accommodate the typical fishing bait lid because of their larger diameter opening although in the store the buckets all look the same. Get the right size 5 gallon bucket with this product and I think you will really enjoy its ruggedness and durability. The rain cover is cheap but has velcro and is better than nothing for keeping rain and spray off your gear and out of your bucket.

Got this for my husband for Christmas. He really likes it. It’s a great item to use as a cheaper tool box. Plus everything is organized and accessible. Would recommend.

I can’t imagine many ways in which this thing could be improved. I used a lower-end model for months and it was very handy so when I saw a good deal on this one I bought one. I was surprised at how durable the material feels. It really seems like it could not have been made any more tough. There are lots of pockets and many places to store stuff, including a “junk” drawer which is a tough pouch with a zipper.

    Pros:

    * Don’t think it could be made any more durable

    * Color matches with my gray Lowe’s bucket (good thing I didn’t buy that bright orange bucket)

    * Includes a “junk drawer” which is a tough pouch with a zipper

    * Many places to store things

    * Very handy

    Cons:

    * Price? But worth it.

This organizer was exactly what I needed for work. All the pockets I could need, excellent construction & a rain cover to boot!

I do outdoor electrical work so I use pliers, Diagonal pliers, ratchets, sockets, knife, battery impact drill, large screw drivers, ruler, safety glasses and a hammer. Not so many small screw drivers or material. My battery impact drill (craftsman 19volt) fit the outside holster good, but after a week the drill started to fit sloppy -kept turning at a 90 degree angle to the bucket, so I decided to carry it inside the bucket. Several pockets on the outside to hold cell phone rubber gloves and sockets. Too many shallow pockets on the outside to hold long handle pliers.Material seems ok.

    Toolman

I am a professional handyman and I work for a custom home builder. During the execution of my job, I do many task during a normal day. I was using a carry around bag but it was bulky and was more trouble than it was worth to load and carry around, so it stayed in my work van and I made trips back and forth for each task. I got the Bucket Boss Fatback Bucket Organizer so I could carry more tools to the job site as opposed to making numerious trips to my van.

This bucket organizer has saved me more time than any tool I have ever purchased. It has many pockets that I keep loaded with the tools I used most often. When I arrive at the job site, I add any additional tool that I need for that job and off I go. The bag was awkarded and heavy to carry. Now I carry far more tools with me and the load feels lighter and it is very easy to locate the tools I need for each task. I can’t image doing my job without my Bucket Boss. It is highly recommend for someone who need a lot of tools, organized in one small place.

    Not designed well
    Rating:2 out of 5 stars
This is a tough product and seems well made, but there are serious design issues that make this product a failure for anyone using it.

1: Drill Holder – My 18v Dewalt XRP drill will not fit into the drill holder with the button snapped closed. So, the drill hangs there waiting to fall out of the sleeve, if I move the bucket. I wonder how many other drills will not fit into the drill holder.

2: Screwdriver Storage – There are no proper screwdriver slots. All of the slots and pockets are closed on the bottom. This means that your screwdrivers will hang high over the slots, instead of fitting snug. Screwdrivers will most likely be lost on any job site, if the pockets are used.

3: Way too expensivve – This product is worth $15 max, with its design flaws.

Just what you’ve been looking for!

I’m a professional remodeler. I carry all my essential tools in my bucket. It’s my basic toolbox with those everyday items I reach for over and over — some carpentry tools, some plumbing tools, some electrical tools, drywall, tiling, etc. I don’t like to wear a toolbelt, so I keep the bucket close at hand as my de facto toolbelt. (My Duluth Trading Firehose pants have enough pockets to hold the tools I use at any given moment).

I was pretty happy with my last bucket organizer and haven’t seen a better one in any of the stores, but it began to wear-out and I figured I’d best replace it before small items vanished through the holes in the bottom of the pockets. I was a bit torn between getting this organizer or its less-expensive sibling, but decided on this one due to the additional pockets and durability. I’ve begun to use it and am very pleased with it.

For starters, it’s tough. The fabric feels indestructible. Even the “junk drawer” accessory bag has mesh reinforcement in the plastic so that even if a screw punctures the clear vinyl, it isn’t going to rip apart. The rubber coating in key areas perfectly addresses the wear patterns I noted in my old organizer.

The array of pockets is well-considered. Especially welcomed are all the pockets on the INSIDE of the bucket. I’ve never seen so many and they help keep the bucket from becoming a “trash dump”. I keep the items less-frequently used in these pockets and reserve the exterior ones for screwdrivers, pliers and other tools that I reach for most frequently.

I confess that I really wish I could will myself to work less and golf more. While I still fail miserably at progressing in such rehabilitation, I do enjoy knowing that this thing has a rain hood tucked away so that when I need to keep things dry, I can pretend that I’m really covering my drivers and irons. :-)

Like most people I know, I’m not as good about using my safety glasses as I should be, but I think having convenient, at-hand access to the pocket in this organizer that holds and protects the glasses will encourage me to use them more. The metal clip right at the top for a tape measure is also great and ends the ritual of having to empty half the bucket to dig the tape out from the bottom.

I only have a couple of thoughts on how to improve this item. First, it could use better storage for pencils, nail sets, pens and other long, slender objects. It has some, but there are not quite enough of these for my needs. Also, the little pockets it does have should be either a little deeper or further down the side of the bucket so these items don’t stick up quite as much. Similarly, none of the pockets are open at the bottom. I.e., there aren’t any loops. There are pockets to hold the screwdrivers, but I’d also like some simple loops for such tools. Lastly, I find that with my bucket, my handle doesn’t have much freedom of motion. The top organizer sits low and solidly enough over the ends of the handle to prevent it from fully laying down on either side. This probably doesn’t matter at all to anyone, but I offer it as a simple observation.

All in all, this is a really excellent product. Buy this one and not the cheaper one if you plan on seeing it used much.

    How About Extremely Useful . . .
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
Not to imply these are not for the pros, but rather from a DIY person’s point-of-view, these are a must. Like many day-to-day out of home working people, I love to become the evening and weekend warrior of home projects. Having some ancient history of doing auto service, I am a toolbox/toolchest user. When it comes to around the house projects these organizers are GREAT. I have never found it so easy to move from project to project and know where my most used tools are. I can easily see using either two of these or one of their other (bags) products in combination. The hardest things I found about using this product was the initial fitting to the bucket (tight, snug, had to wrestle with it) and figuring out which pockets work best for which tools. Long screwdrivers, pry bars, etc. are still somewhat of a mystery yet they do fit. Heck, you can always place them free in the center . . . I would recommend this organizer to anyone.

Finally a product that holds more tools than I want to carry. Even a spot for a “junk drawer”!

    Great when it’s upright
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I am the envy of everyone at the job site – it’s great to have most everything I need while there. The only complaint I have is trying to keep it upright on the drive to and from, which I’ve fixed with a bungee cord. It works very well in the shop, taking the place of a toolbox.

This is the finest tool carrier I have been able to find. Holds all my most common tools I use on a daily basis and then some. Very convenient making your tools available to see and quickly grab. Heavy duty quality and should last a very long time. The traditional tool box is a thing of the past!

As usual Bucket Boss comes out with another awesome product. Tough as nails and with enough pockes to hold almost my entire tool chest full of tools. I am 100% pleased with the product but I later found out I could have gotten it cheaper from a local store and without the shipping cost as well. All and all If you find it in your area you can save up to $15.00, and if not it’s still worth getting from amazon

I bought this as a birthday present for my husband. Based on the photo, I thought the bucket was included (it is not – you can buy one for $5 on amazon to go with it). Once we got a 4.5 gallon bucket and he set it up, my husband really liked the Fat Back organizer. It holds all those odds & ends that are normally strewn all over the floor when projects are going on. The fabric is very sturdy and should hold up well over time. The organizer has lots of compartments of various sizes for wrenches, hammers, nuts & bolts, etc. I would recommend it for the handy man or woman!

Amazing quality and a lot of storage. I also inserted into the bottom of the bucket, the parachute organizer and wow…what a sweet set-up this made. When I’m workin’ the ranch I sometimes need a gun nearby for rattlesnakes, and there was even a pocket on this caddy that accomodated my Colt 45…I’m ordering one for a friend as a gift…
