Original Bucket Boss Parachute Bag a Better Buy

I use this bag with assorted lengths of decking screws, so it carries roughly 10lbs of screws at a time. Even with this amount of weight the closure system doesn’t work right. Meanwhile, the cheaper “chutes” bag works flawlessly. Save your pennies and buy the older style.

I do electrical work and it seems close to ideal for wire nuts and connectors. I put some pieces of plastic in the bottom to make it a little more ridged. It seems to be well constructed. Vary deep pockets closes good.

    Best equine grooming kit ever
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
Based on another horse owner’s review of this product from a few months ago and how much I love my big five gallon Bucket Boss organizer, I purchased two Bucket Boss Parachute Bags, one for each horse. At first, they seemed a bit on the small side, but when we got through loading them up, my daughters were very impressed.

The bags are not very deep, and I thought this would be a detraction. It turned out to be a big plus because if you have ever used a bucket or a plastic cleaning tote for a grooming kit, you know that the amount of stuff that winds up on the bottom is really astounding … peppermint wrappers, horse treat crumbs, multiple hoof picks, pulling combs, riding gloves, hair elastics and clips, etc, etc. Although I won’t say I NEVER find anything unusual on the bottom of these bags, they tend to not fill up with detritus. The Parachute Bag has nifty side pockets for small grooming aids and larger compartments for brushes, hoof, coat and mane products, sweat scraper… anything you could possibly need to groom a horse. They are also wonderful to take in the trailer to shows or clinics. To top it off, they are DURABLE in the extreme. If you were to buy a similar product expressly made to be a grooming kit, you could add another fifteen bucks to the cost.

If you have a horse or pony, get yourself one and use the plastic thing for cleaning day!

    Nice bag
    Rating:3 out of 5 stars
Bag is very well made, The only thing about this bag is there is no way to keep the screws or whatever you keep in this bag seperated. The pockets are not complete, there is a gap between the sections where small screws and get mixed up.

An Awesome and Amazing Tool/Organizer/Gadget/Resource. The Best!!!
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
Working in a photo studio alongside set builders, this parts and tool bag was suddenly on the set and I had never seen such a brilliant solution to so many organizational and project needs. This bag, with its very compact and impossible to tip over stature, is incredible, effective, simple in design, and just an overall great solution. Once I saw this organizer, I couldn’t wait to get one. It is practical and smart, one of those tools that you wonder how you did without. I like it so much that I’m getting two more for myself, to have each one be work specific, and I’m also getting several others to give to special people because it will help them organize their work projects and tools. Stacking three in a 5 gallon bucket keeps them clean, organized and out of the way. These are brilliant and the small amount of dollars spent on one of these is money so well spent. Be proud to own one of these parachute bags, it will streamline your work and make your process more zen. Work smart, work easy.

    Not what I expected
    Rating:3 out of 5 stars
This item was not quite what I expected, but it will be handy. I expected that it would utilize a bucket. The description is not clear enough. With the name Bucket Boss, the description should state clearly whether or not the product makes use of a bucket.

I purchased this for a father in law who was planning on building shelves in his basement. I figured it would probably end up in a box and forgotten. He actually used it and it was very effective for what he needed. Nails, screws, pencils, razor, screwdriver, bits and other parts all fit nicely and could be kept separated and easily accessible. Though it is rather small the size turned out to be a good thing for the small parts and tools he used. It is about 12 inches in diameter and 8 inches high. it is made of pretty durable material and holds its shape well. He really likes it and has used it several times, even over his other tool boxes.

    not for my needs
    Rating:3 out of 5 stars
This product did not work well for my needs. The fabric is very durable but too stiff when new to pull it closed tightly enough to keep contents in. It will probably work in but I did not want to wait that amount of time. We have the original “buckett boss” and love it.

    Bucket Boss Closure System
    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
The bucket boss is the best system I have seen for keeping your screws and fasteners organized. I have an older version without the side pockets and I actually like it better. The closure system on the new one does not work as well. Instead of a simple draw string with a locking toggle, there is a web of strings that I haven’t quite figured out how to close easily. I may end up re stringing it myself to be more like the old ones.

A great way to organize, with a great quality product
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I like to use these bags to carry an assortment of screws, especially. I’ve had one of these for several years, it’s still in great shape, so I bought a couple more to get a little bit MORE organized.

    More useful than you’d think
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I have a bunch of these bags, as well as the older bags with no external pockets. The older style is a little easier to close, but the new ones are thicker material, so I think they’ll last longer. I don’t use the exterior pockets (yet?).

My workbench went from a disorganized collection of cardboard boxes to a handful of parachute bags – now I can find hardware faster and get back to work. They also save much time and aggravation when packing my truck and tools for a job – I know I have all my hardware with me.

It’s a good product at a great price.

I have a number of the original Bucket Boss chutes, so when I saw this unit with the external pockers- a natural extension of the idea- I picked up a couple at the local home store.

I’m not a builder, but I’ve worked with crews on my house and done a fair bit of repair and addition of small built-ins. Like anyone who’s done this sort of work, I have accumulated large amounts of screws, nails, wirenuts and other hardware in various sizes that I need a handy way to carry. Three or four of these (depending on what’s in ‘em) will fit in a joint compound bucket and provide an excellent way to organize and carry small parts.

I’ve got two filled with different sizes of deck screws, one with biscuits for the biscuit joiner, one with wire nuts, cable staples and other electrical items, one with nails and a few more with different screws, nuts, washers, screen door hardware, fuses, and other things I can’t even remember. It’s a great system.

  23. Bob Feeser says:

The Bucket Boss System really gets the job done
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
The best way to get into the Bucket Boss Super Chutes is to explain it is part of a system. The super chutes handles the misc parts. The other part of the system is the Bucket Boss 56, which handles the tools. Each one, can also be used to do a little of the other.
Super Chutes is great. I no longer find myself looking for that box of screws, or having to run back out to get things out of the vehicle. Also, if I am low on something, it is immediately apparent. The material, it is made out of, is super durable, and I am sure it will last, for a long, long time. Pick up one or more of these, and a 56 Organizer for your tools. The organization will pay for itself in no time. Get the Boss and watch your productivity zoom!

I’m a homeowner. I remember seeing our electrician with a few of these several years ago, so I finally got around to getting one. They sit on a ladder shelf easily and securely. You can pick em up, toss em around. Reaching in the large compartments to get nails, small parts, etc is easy. I used to use a nail bag you tie around your waist. This is much better. Most of the time I don’t need to wear a cumbersome tool belt. The bag is well built with good materials. PLUS Bucket Boss / Fiskars have a no questions asked warranty for the LIFE of the product. Just make sure to cut out the warranty card on the box and mail it in. Plus outside pockets for small tools and what not.

I purchased three bags about two years ago.I liked them because you couldn’t tip them over. Alot of guys in my company were also using them. Unfortunately, a house I was working on burnt to the ground and took my van with it. When I went back to the site the next day to make a list of matl’s for the insurance company, I noticed the bags had their carrying strings burnt off and had fallen from their hooks upside down on to the van floor. I turned them over to find them sealed tight from the heat, with almost all contents intact. Unuseable now, but they did their job right to the end!
