A Magnetic Tool Holder Without Any Magnetism

I bought two of these “magnetic” tool holders. Neither has any “magnetism” whatsoever. Nada. Zero. Zilch. They won’t even hold a pin! Worse than garbage, they are a marketing fraud.

    A piece of scrap

I bought this item for my workshop, looks great, pity they forgot to magnatize it, it would’nt hold a panel pin.

Most probly cost a fortune to send it back so will take it on my next trip to the scrap yard

Good Value but Product Different from Picture
    Rating:3 out of 5 stars
These work fine but the item I received is a little different than what’s in the picture. The screw holes are not in the ends as shown in the picture but on vertical tabs welded to the back that stick up. The “Yellow” stripe is actually a piece of tape that is not really attached to the magnets. It just sort of hangs there begging to be pulled off. Maybe the yellow tape is just there to protect the magnets during shipping? But then why show it in the picture? This item is a good value but the design is not top quality.

    Not Magnetic
    Rating:1 out of 5 stars
I purchased two of these and installed them on the wall. They had some yellow tape along the center of the bar which appears to be a permanent feature in the photographs (it’s not). I was eager to start hanging my tools up on the bar, but no such luck. Not even nail would stick to these things. Holy cow, did I get ripped off? did the seller get ripped off? Anyway, back they go and a one star rating (my first) for this hassle. I expect this kind of nonsense from Harbor Freight, but not from Amazon products with 5 star ratings. Am I the first?

    Handy tool holder

Very handy tool holder. Bit stronger magnet for the weight the weight of a pipe wrench and such would make it perfect.

    Sturdy and works well
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
It’s a long magnet and it works well. Very satisfied with this product, but after wanting to put a bunch of tools on it I realized I have too many tools for just one bar. I will likely buy more of these in the near future. I think it came with drywall anchors, but I put it directly into wood because of the weight plus that of the tools attached to it.

    Great

I just hung this up in my garage and I’m back to order two more. I am really impressed at how well this thing works. I think the fact that I’m back to purchase more speaks for how pleased I am with the product. My work bench looks better already and I’m imagining how nice it will be to reach for a tool without having to search for it!

    Awesome Product!
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I just hung this thing up in the closet where I hang my tools. So far it’s holding 9 screwdrivers, 3 chisels, a 16 oz and a 22 oz hammer, and finally a 2 lb. sledge. (I tried hanging the monkey wrench, but I think that was too much for the magnet with everything else on it. Believe me, there isn’t room for it anyway.) This magnet is STRONG! I was worried that the tools might fall off easily, but I don’t see that being a problem now.

Basically, I’m really impressed with how great this thing works, and I plan on buying a few more for my shop and around the house.

Just be sure to screw it into the studs or something that will hold all of the weight that you’ll put on it. It comes with large sheet-rock anchors, and some heavy duty screws, but I would bet that the sheet-rock will give way before this magnet does! If you plan on using it to hold kitchen knives or something light like that, the screws and anchors should work fine though.

(Also, the rack doesn’t come with wood screws, so you’ll probably need to use you own if you decide to hang it the way I suggested. But it only needs two screws, so no big deal.)

    Magnetic Tool Holder
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I have ordered this product before. I use one in my kitchen for my knives and keep them near the stove and counter top. There’s one in the barn for my tools there and the new ones are in the garage for additional tools I use in the house frequently. The magnet is strong and will even hold a hammer or pipe wrench yet it is easy to remove the tool.

Great device! Recommend it highly! Will eventually have the need for another.

This was much heavier than I expected – my boyfriend uses it in the garagr since it won’t work for what I wanted it for

    Finally found them

I could not find this item locally, which would seem a no brainer at Lowes or Home Depot, but ordered them here and I wish that I had ordered two more. Good solid product.
